Fertile Earth WaterStik Wins the Utah Innovation Award
Irvine, CA, April 30th, 2009 – We are pleased to announce that on April 30, 2009 the Fertile Earth WaterStik™ was selected as the winner of the seventh annual 2009 Utah Innovation Award. This statewide program recognizes product innovations across Utah, and a committee of more than 70 experts from private industry, government and higher education selected the WaterStik™ as the most innovative product among approximately 400 entries.
The WaterStik, which automatically informs homeowners when to water their indoor houseplants, was one of nine innovations honored at the recent Utah Innovation Awards program, presented by Stoel Rives LLP and the Utah Technology Council. The WaterStik™ is a small and inexpensive moisture reading device that monitors the water content in any type of soil, and using creative LED colors, tells you instantly when it’s time to water.
