Waveland Resource Partners VIII, L.P.
New Acquisitions Announcement
We are excited to announce that WRP VIII has acquired fifteen (15) additional Bakken wells operated by EOG Resources (NYSE: EOG), a public company with a market cap of $69B and operations throughout the US and internationally; Chord Energy (Nasdaq: CHRD), a public company with a market cap of $8.5 billion and operations primarily focused on the Bakken Shale; and Mewbourne Oil Company, one of the largest independent private oil and gas company in the US. In addition to the new project acquisitions, WRP VIII also increased its ownership in the Civitas 9-well project we originally acquired in December 2025. The Civitas project has outperformed our initial 3-month underwriting production forecast by 50%.
As of this announcement, the Civitas and Chord projects illustrated below are producing, and Mewbourne and EOG have commenced drilling their respective projects. Initial production from these two projects is forecast for the fourth quarter of this year.
With these acquisitions, WRP VIII now has a total of 63 wells in its portfolio.

The Fund’s strategy focuses on aggregating oil and gas assets located in the core of the Bakken Shale in North Dakota and the Permian Basin in West Texas and southeastern New Mexico. Our objective is to generate quarterly cash distributions from our net operating income and grow asset value by reinvesting a portion of the income to make additional acquisitions and drill new wells to build asset value toward a profitable exit.
